Best Practices

Saunas are a great way to relax and unwind, but it's important to use them safely. 

  • Temp: 140° F to 150° F is ideal in infrared sauna
  • Duration: 
    • Stay 5-10 min after you start to sweat. 
    • New to sauna start slowly with 10-15 min- Gradually increase your time in the sauna, but don't go beyond 20-30 minutes per session 
  • Frequency: 3 to 4X recommended for peak results. (max 57min per week )
  • Hydrate- drink lots of water before and after sauna
  • Shower before you sauna to wash off lotions/deodorant and towel  off or wash away toxins immediately
  • It's a good idea to take 3-5 minutes to cool down before  any intense activity. Not only does this help regulate your body temp, but it also preps you for the cold plunge by reducing the contrast and minimizing stress on your body
  • Goal is to create a positive stress response, so you live younger longer.
  • If you feel unwell, exit the sauna immediately.
