Best Practices

Saunas are a great way to relax and unwind, but it's important to use them safely. 


  • Temp: 140° F to 150° F is ideal in infrared sauna
  • Duration: 
    • Stay 10 min after you start to sweat.  Your body sweats to cool down — for best results, exit the sauna about 10 minutes after sweating begins.
  • Towel off sweat regularly during your session to avoid reabsorption of toxins.
  • Frequency:Aim for ~57 minutes per week total sauna time for peak performance benefits.
  • Hydrate- drink lots of water before and after sauna
  • It's a good idea to take 3-5 minutes to cool down before  any intense activity. Not only does this help regulate your body temp, but it also preps you for the cold plunge by reducing the contrast and minimizing stress on your body
  • Goal is to create a positive stress response, so you live younger longer.
  • If you feel unwell, exit the sauna immediately.
